@Juliani1979 Visit my site. Your mention of psychotic rages says the problem is Subliminal Distraction. It is preventable but not treatable. If you succeed I am searching for cases prior to publication. Google Subliminal Distraction and click the first search return. Read the "Letters" page for a simple explanation. When it happened to my wife I found the problem is unknown in mental health services. It's a design/engineering problem of human physiology and crowded knowledge work conditions.

@Juliani1979 if its AUTO immune do a little peripheral homework on autoimmune disease, not that thats what he has but it could help educate you regarding treatment alternatives

if only all Children with PANDAS are healed with antibiotics. My son is almost 9, just diagnosed in July of 2011, after having the disorder since age 3...Been on abx nonstop since July ,as well as an IVIg with Dr K in Chicago....he still shows all symptoms....Extreme OCD, motor and vocal tics, psychotic rages, age regression, ADAH, and Panic and Anxiety....if only ABX were the answer for everyone
My sympathies, Juliani1979. My daughter has been on Augmentin for just a week, and it's helped the rage and defiance a bit, there's still some, but not as bad as a couple of weeks ago. She still has intrusive thoughts, contamination fear age regression and some ADHD. Did you have your pets checked for strep?
