@onelonelyvisitor... Actually, in an interview I read he stated that it was about his then girlfriend's newphew who was killed in a car crash (his pics in first albums artwork.) Never actually knowing the kid, he still attened the funeral & it struck a nerve with him.

i think i read somewhere where rob knew a guy who had a kid named kody that was hit and killed but a drunk driver and he wrote this song basically explaining he died innocent not haveing to experience the harder things in life as explained in the song
