The Decemberists playing Culling of the Fold at the Lifestyle Communities Pavillion in Columbus Ohio, on November 10, 2006.

This song was written for The Crane Wife, but not included "because it offended Jenny."

Yes, that's a cell phone he took from the crowd that he dials and sings into.

  • That was sweet. When he got down on the floor and sang "cut him up, girl" that was to me! It was amazing.

  • This show was amazing..... and for the record, that was my friend and I's phone! Totally amazing. He left a message on one of our other friend's answering machine.... she called back later and was like "what was that? it sounded like a concert!" So it was pretty cool. Definitely going to their next show :)

  • Hmm. I thought Jenny wrote this song, but it was too violent for the record.

    ??

  • haha he stepped on my head over to the left of the stage, it kinda hurt

  • Not a fan of the venue?

  • That's a pretty good song, they should've put it on the record. I love how he's climbs on the speaker and takes the cell phone. I personally didn't like LCP. It wasn't their greatest show, just because of the pavillion...

  • I'm mad they didn't put that into the album. It was pretty good. Lol Colin's funny, i was surprised he took someone's cell phone...

  • *to push.

In other news, Promowest was rockin that night. It was nuts. Best show I've ever seen there. When Colin grabbed that guy's phone, and later when Petra booted that guy back into the crowd. So amazing.

  • I was at this show. How amazing was being able top push right up to the stage and just rest your arms on it? Love it.

I'm just sad they refused to play Mariner's Revenge for us. I'm afraid its becoming their Stairway to Heaven. They play it so much that they get sick of it.
