I met Jonas at Shawn's funeral and all that I can say is that he has an Obi one Canobie like zen-ness about him that can't be explained. A perfect gentleman and amazing musician to say the least. I sat in my pickup in front of Shawn's grandmothers house on Stacey St in Memphis with Shawn for about 1 hour listening to him talk of Jonas. I have kicked myself a thousand times for not having a recorder. An amazing conversation from a true genius as well as one beautiful human being.

This is awesome, but the part that is just ruining it for me is precisely in the most interesting part, the solo, beginning at 2:14...I just can´t enjoy it with that bearded idiot behind Hellborg, the one with the sweater, trying to watch himself on the monitors, watching the camera, the monitor, the camera, the monitor...I can´t stand it, AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

I read that John Mac and Jonas Hellborg don't really like each other now. I read that JM was too domineering when JH was in the new Mahavishnu.
Can anyone help clarify this?

I haven't heard about bad blood between JM and JH but to be honest I wouldn't be surprised. JM has fallen out with Billy Cobham, Jan Hammer (both unresolved after all these years) L.Shankar, John luc Ponty and Kai Eckhart at some point or other. He's said to be a great guy but is renowned for being stubborn as hell.
