Rice roti is a good breakfast item.. This is how you make it
First off take about 4 measures of rice flour .. add to it finely chopped curry leaves, finely chopped cilantro, about 2 or 3 finely chopped green chillies, about 1/2 teaspoon of jeera, about two measures of coconut powder and knead the mass into a dough with water.. make four balls of it .. Then on a flat surface press out the balls into rotis ... these will be thick and difficult to handle with a rolling pin and so should be pressed as shown ... then take the roti along with the foil and put it over a hot tava.. add oil and cook one side then the other .. the rotis take a long time to cook and would be crumbly .. so you have to handle it carefully ..
then serve it with butter and
EAT !

  • Hello,

You could use thick plastic sheets instead of that noisy silver foil right? I would prefer plastic sheets. Your recipes are real simple and fast. But once in a while, do show your face. I too am from Secunderabad :), now in US.

  • That is very nice to know sir... and so was my dad from karnataka ...however karnataka cuisine is more healthier when compared to all the other states in south.....specially the north karnataka one...it is not spicy enough....which makes it more healthy...

  • thanks a lot for the very encouraging comments, really appreciate them ! and secunderabad, especially is a beautiful place, ...marredpally ?that would be too much of a coincidence ! me too ! yes, am researching on a few good recipes which i will be posting after perfecting them ! :)
