This is my second recut trailer, making the satirical horror film "The Stepford Wives" (Dir. Bryan Forbes) look like an upbeat chick-flick comedy!
I've been working on this new recut trailer for the last few days, and now it's finally finished! I actually had the idea for this ages ago in October of last year, but I've only just found the time to invest in it. I'm glad that I've put it off until now, though - I've done some fun things with the titles that I wouldn't have thought of last year.
The original film is quite a subtle one, so there weren't many dramatic physical scenes that I could turn into slapstick comedy. Nonetheless, I hope it's turned out okay!
The music used is:
"What A Beautiful Day!" by George Fenton (From the soundtrack of - what else? - "You've Got Mail")
"Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind

I don't get this?????? Why not remake the trailer as it was originally intended....a horror/thriller. Could have been so much better!

@Amoroussparkle lol. the weird part was. i was told that i looked like a step-ford wife in front of my calculus college class by my professor. it was weirddd. so i had to come home and look it up.

i was told today that i look like a stepford wife...and people are always telling me that i look like barbie...so now that i seen this trailer...now i see how people perceive me....

The reality is there are stepford wives all over the world. Women who fit into an ideal of body perfection, surgery or domestic. The horror is the reality.

It would be more realistic to me and would convince me if you wouldn't have played a song that came out in the last decade, but I watched the new version directed by Frank Oz and I ddin't seem to find it enjoyable except that it had such a 50's/60's kind of theme to it, is this one more enjoyable?
