Part 2 - Chris went to the MM's concert (ok, I mean the Eminem of the loser variety, not the plain and peanut kind), Scott and Jamie stayed home to tend to their feminine needs (I believe they were shopping for tampons). This left me to ride solo and I was just starting to show signs of the flu, so I only rode about an hour and a half. The ride is posted in 3 parts, and I only got about 25 minutes of video because my battery went dead (I forgot to charge it after riding with my son the day before).
The conditions were perfect 65-70F, high over cast, and the moist sand provided tons of traction. I only wish Chris were there so I could have let it all hang out, being by myself meant I needed to be a little cautious, although, it was a blast rocketing out of the corners on one wheel. The cool conditions made for dense air and the 295 was able to get sufficient air to pull hard over the entire rpm range (no gasping at high rpm). No I still have not over bored a carb for it, too many other things to do.
An October ride (if I can get those guys off their duffs) sounds perfect. 50 degs F should make for even more power! I hear PSI makes a 425cc kit, I wonder how I could get enough air through the intake system to realize its full potential?
You need to stop, not just look. Dnr fined me 250 at rights of spring for not makin a complete stop.
