She says, "I just don't understand it." Followed by the white-out snowy scene. To me it's a contrast of his criminal mind and heart with her pure heart and mind. The white snow personifies her purity. Beautiful scene and music.

@skrikon It was a beautiful day. Yeah it was cold, but it was clear and beautiful. I live in a cold part of the country and the fact that it may be -15 with 2' of snow on the ground doesn't mean it can't be a beautiful day. Dress warm and put on your boots! Stay positive, even when other people don't see anything positive. That makes life, and your outlook on it, beautiful.

The world is a sad place with all the unnecessary deaths and killings......
