Join students and faculty for a presentation by Charles R. Berger, professor and communication department chair, University of California, Davis. His topic: "Responses to Threatening News: When Anecdotal and Statistical Message Formats Meet Rational and Experiential Processing Models." From Professor Berger: "To what degree are individuals who favor rational or experiential information processing styles, or both made apprehensive by exposure to threatening news reports that are presented either anecdotally or statistically? Research addressing this question and several related theoretical issues will be considered."
