Album: To Bless Your Heart - A Heart-cry of Worship
© 1985 Chalace Music

I remember this album from when I was quite young, and I probably hadn't heard it in almost 20 years.
The Internet has almost NO information about many of these old 70's and 80's CCM albums. I recently tracked down a copy online, and have digitized it for modern playback and to help preserve the vinyl. Recorded directly from vinyl on a Pioneer direct drive PL-518 to Audacity editing software. This copy of the record was still shrink-wrapped and previously unplayed.

This album was a worship project by several artists from the Tacoma, Washington area. The Chalace Music label was also based in Tacoma, though there seems to be no other information about it anymore.

This song in particular seems to have resonated over the years, despite the (now) relative public obscurity of the album. There are still lyrics posted online, but nobody seemed to know where it came from. Written and performed by Wendy Corrick.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I wrote this song when I was 21, and this version has my vocal at the age of 23- a blast from the past! Maranatha! picked it up a few years later. I still own the copyright on "Holy Spirit Come", Chalace and I share the rights to this song, but I'm glad you posted it so people can hear it! Blessings to all!!

  • @baairwendy - Wow. This is amazing. I'd never have expected to hear back from you personally! I'm so glad to have your personal blessing for posting your song on YouTube. I hope my amateur vinyl-to-digital remastering has done it justice. The vinyl copy I used has since been irreparably damaged, but I have very high (technical) quality digital recordings of the entire record, which this clip was made from. I hope to preserve it for future generations. Thank you so much.

  • nice!! lovely version of it also...i love the Maranathas version best....not too, too different!

  • @mwai72 Yeah, this would be the original. I'd like to get my hands on their original Praise series albums, I haven't heard those in probably 20 years either. I remember the art on the outside of those cardboard LP sleeves being very late 70s/early 80s.

  • I listened to this tape over and over back in 1985. It was a hard time in my life. I have been playing it for the last few days and it is ministering to me as much now. What a beautiful tape. I looked for another copy on e-bay but couldn't find it. What lovely and uplifting praise and worship music. Thanks for posting it so I could share it with others.

  • @IMLadySue You're welcome! I'm so glad you enjoy it. Please let me know if you're interested in the MP3s I made from the album for yourself or for sharing with someone. (None of the original artists seem interested in holding on to a copyright, and the Chalace record label they founded is decades gone.)

  • Ms. Wendy C. For SO many years this song/album has meant more to me than any other I've owned. My story is one I want to share with you to let you know why it has followed me for so many years. I am a singer and was held back for many reasons from pursuing a gospel music career. The only way I felt safe to praise/worship in song was along with the album. If I would had been able to record I would have BEGGED to do this song & others from the LP PLEASE respond to joe bollinger joeybhair@yahoo.com

  • CAN YOU PLEASE PUT THE SONG 'HOLY SPIRIT COME' ON YOU TUBE AS WELL
