Dozens Die in Nightclub Fire in Bangkok

A fire swept through a high-class nightclub jammed with several hundred New Year's revelers early Thursday, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 200, officials said. (Jan. 1)

For the life of me, I can't understand this idea of using and setting off fireworks inside a building. That is the way that the tragic February 2003 West Warwick, RI Station fire started. Doesn't anybody ever learn that using and setting off fireworks inside a building (no matter how stable or inspected -- which this building obviously was not -- said building is is just a very stupid or at least ignorant thing to do?)
