I am a an oregonian transplanted from california. I have lived here 17 years now. I find the famous exploding whale pretty much standard operating procedure for oregon.If you think the whale was funny you should see what they did with the new carissa, a ship that foundered and then ground itself just outside coos bay. That was a comedy of errors that defied logic. Way to go oregon keep up the good work. Mike in eugene oregon

I started laughing so hard when I heard now much explosives they were using.. hehaaaaa! Oh lord what a society of idiots. How can there NOT be ANYONE there who was a good enough engineer to be screaming STOOOPPP! STOPPPPP... 200lbs IS PLENTY YOU FOOLS! lol!

Nothing like the pitter patter of falling blubber falling in the air. Great story and thanks to Utube and Hapoon II the Admirals edition for tuning me into the legend of the "florence, exploding whale"
