This video offers a glimpse into a Sunday afternoon of fun in January, 1989. This is a capsule of daily life at Clark Air Base, Philippines. Two years and three months later, many of these families and friends would be separated forever by the impending eruption of the Mt. Pinatubo volcano, June, 1991. This combined footage was shot during our annual Holy Angel parish picnic at Clark's popular Bicentennial Outdoor Recreation park. Notice this starts with a Far East Network (FEN/AFRTS) television station ID tag. Images of Clark's motorcycle patrol and historic horse-mounted police will forever live as part of our 13th Air Force, Philippines Experience. I hope you were there with us, sharing this wonderful Sunday. Oh yah! The hot dogs were great too...
