  • Big Band was in full swing, movies were good, and Broadway had some of the best musicals ever at this time. And as a joke, this is also "New York In The Forties" in terms of numbered streets in Manhattan.

    OH yeah.

    People didn't didn't realize what they had.

    It still amazes me that "low budget" in those days meant "Looney Tunes."

  • Not to mention cartoons were well animated and were capable of getting messages out, something todays multi-million CGI fested films are incapable of doing right.
