After School in Vihiga (kenya) I made sure I grabbed our then small National Panasonic radio red in color tuned into SW radio Kigali between hrs 4-6pm then left with it in my armpit to go and graze the cows. Then we would stage some fire on one of those huge maragoli rocks and eat roasted maize while the music ceaselessly came across.
Sometimes I would place the radio speaker-side down on to a clay-made pot to amplify the bass. My late mom did not fancy it coz the pot would break down.
Lovely song by Nyboma. Reminds me of Uganda during the time of Wakombozi following the fall of Amin. A friend of mine loaned me his Fiat Mirafiori and I was spinning around in it in Gulu with this song in the cassette. Good days music wise.
@hochwada Oh Man this was the days when I was in Boroboro Senior Secondary School, Lira, Uganda. I was in my final year S6. Kekere Night Club was the pub.
I stand to be corrected ,but have always called this song masudi, but nontheless great vocals by the versatile Kanda Nyboma.OMG sweet old memories

This is definitely Nyboma's most beautiful rendition of a song. Those vocals are amazing.
