Dear BIC, I would like to address some of my concerns with your other available writing materials. After viewing this ad, I realized I have been using mechanical pencils clearly intended for a man. Their barrels are black, and the handles are threatening colors such as a bold red that made my hand shake with fear. Wow Bic! I hate to ride on the coat tails of the other users on here but I have to say that this commercial was upsetting to me, and will only alienate the LGBTQ community by showing Bic's non-acceptance of stepping outside gender conformity. I'm sure it was made without malice but it has pushed away one of the strongest consumer markets in America! This advert is revolting. My favourite colour is blue, so my entire room is blue! I even wrote with black pens when I did my postgrad. degree (I know, it's shocking. I was let out of the kitchen for all that time)! What's a girl to do? I guess I should get a pink BIC For Her pen and colour my bedroom walls so that they are suitably feminine.

This advert is so unbelievably sexist. FIRE WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THIS IDIOTIC PRODUCT AND FIRE YOUR ADVERTISING TEAM. I could do better in my sleep!

I'm don't think I've ever said this to a company before, but BIC you should go kill yourself for thinking this was a good idea. Whoever thought this up should be fired, seriously they are not helping you at all just dead weight waiting to trip you up.
