Great Job Dude ;-)

Wow!!!....Enfield is Harley's cousin from across the ocean.
-
I juste LOVE that noise

That's a very nice machine and I've no doubt you could easily sell as many as you could produce were you to start commercial manufacture. It looks like something Redditch might have produced and I'd love one, although I will have to wait for a lottery win.

I would be the first to buy one of these if you were to put any on sale.
If you wanted someone to sell them for your in the UK I'm your man!

You did a fantastic job. You're a real mechanical wiz.

I could hear clutch slip when you opened her up.
Thanks again guys for your wonderful comments! Watch the videos of the bike with the mufflers on it- quiet but very vintage!

Hello again and well done! This is great work. Couple of questions if thats ok. What bigend are u using??? Floating or roller? Standard Rods? Not trying to steal any secrets, just really interested in how you did it. It would be awsome to see u building these to order, maybe even in a bigger guise. Like by using a longer stroke crank and bigger forged pistons to build a 1224cc, can you imagine??!! How hard would it be to build a motor with the AVL geared pumps for added oil flow and reliability??

Thank you very much!
Right now, its all stock big end (made a new crankpin though for two conrods). But, all the available upgrades- alpha roller big end, steel rods etc. can be installed if desired. Geared avl pumps should be quite doable too- the casting allows that. John Hutchings in the UK does 450cc conversions for the 350, so a 900cc Musket is my next dream. Should be able to keep up with Sportsters, hmm? Ofcourse, the frame would be further strengthened.

Ah, just read your introduction to this post and I see you've already tried the heavy springs. I'm sure you'll have done it already but de-greasing the friction plates with a thinner and breaking any glaze that might have formed on the plain plates with a quick rub down using fine emery cloth might give a little extra grip. Cheers!

Hi!
Did exactly that when I just got her running, then tried new plates too- I think she just needs more friction surface area. On the one late night long ride, the engine was revving free of the clutch when I maxxed the throttle at about 140 kmh!
