This video highlights a component of World Education's work on the Egypt Education Reform Program (ERP). Working with the Board of Trustees (BOT) from 240 schools, USAID-funded ERP improved the relationship between the schools and community, including civil society organizations and parents to work in partnership to improve the schools/classroom environments. The BOTs brought much needed resources and services to schools through partnerships with civil society organizations, and fostered relations between parents and schools to affect policy reform. The BOTs also encouraged an environment for accountability within the school, and with the community. ERP is implemented by a consortium of organizations led by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) including World Education and the Educational Development Center (EDC).
