A dream can be out of reach, especially when you've lived all your life without a speck of hope. But if you find out that you're dream is nothing more than a hidden reality, what will you do with it?

This wasn't real. I focused on her face and I covered my mouth to muffle my gasp. It was the girl from my dreams. It was her. I recognized that face anywhere. Wow. She had to be the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. And the thing that got me the most was that she was naturally beautiful. No adjustments. She had sparkling blue eyes and light brown hair that shone in the sun.

She wasn't wearing any make-up and her dress was incredibly simple but she looked stunning. She was walking along, gliding her hand over the tree trunks. I was following her but still keeping my distance. Okay, I admit, I was kinda stalking her but I just couldn't look away. Something about her was keeping me there.

She bent down and picked something up in her hands. It was a baby bluebird. "Aww. Did you fall from the tree, little birdie?" Her voice was calm, soothing. I fell in love with it. I would hear that voice all day and not get tired. "Let's put you back in your nest." She looked up at the tree and so did I.

"Wow, that's really high." She looked back at the bird who chirped. "Don't worry. I'll get you back up there." She started to climb up the trunk and she disappeared in the leaves. I slowly walked towards the tree and looked up. She was holding onto a tree branch and leaning over to put the bird in its nest.

She started climbing back but suddenly lost her grip. She slipped over the side but held on so that she was dangling from the tree branch. "Oh, no," I whispered.
"Help! Someone!"
I moved under her, ready to catch her if her hands slipped. "Hey! I'll catch you!"
She looked down at me. "How can I be sure?! How do I know you're not just gonna let me fall?!"
"You have to trust me! Let go of the branch!"
"No, I'm scared!"
"Just let go! I'm right here!" I saw her think about it and she looked up at her hands. One slipped and she let out a small scream. And suddenly, her other hand dropped and she fell down and right into my arms.

She was breathing heavily and I was staring into her eyes. I was hypnotized by their depth. She had her arms around my neck and was staring back. I guess you could say this was one of the best moments of life. I realized the awkwardness of the situation and slowly put her down on her feet, but I held onto her arms.

"Are you okay, miss?" I was trying to be polite. Maybe she would like me if I was.
"Yes. Thank you." She bit her lip and her cheeks turned a bright pink. Just when she couldn't get better.
"I'm Joe Jonas." I was hoping with all my heart that she didn't know about me being a prince. It would ruin everything.
"I'm Abigail Stevens." She gave me a sweet smile. I guess she didn't know. I held onto one of her hands and gently kissed it slightly bowing as a chivalrous gesture.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Abigail. So what are you doing here in the forest?"
"Um, I don't know. Something told me that I should come here today so I did. How about you?"
What to tell her? "Um, I was looking for something." Well, I wasn't lying.
"And did you find it?"
I smiled at her and slightly laughed. "You know what? I think I did."

"It's just like déjà vu
Me standing here with you
So I'll be holding my breath
Could this be the end
Is it that moment when
I find the one that I'll spend forever with?"

What will happen with them? Will Joe tell her about being a prince?

Sorry again about the shortness. I wrote these a while back so I wasn't quite sure if it would fit or not. Sorry. Hope you still like it though.
