@gypsysoul420 I know your comment was from 8 months ago, but in case you didn't hear: RDe signed with Legacy Fighting Championship and is expected to fight in LFC11 on 5/11/12, although they haven't selected an opponent for him yet.
It'll be good to see RD fight again outside of JJ tourneys. Don't get me wrong, I love watching him roll, but I want to see him do to ppl what Royce used to do to ppl: Outclass them with awesome JJ.
I wonder if he'll set the record for longest wins by sub streak.

A few more wins and I seriously see Dana White signing him

@OzmanX1 actually he only fought twice on mfc, 1-1 there
Nickels did a bunch right on the ground, but Drysdale nullified it before Mike's effort came to any sort of fruition. Having rolled with Drysdale, I can tell you despite effort and desire, there's a whole lot of not-going-anywhere-until-I-tap to him. Give Robert and inch and you will not get that inch back. Robert giving Mike the underhook after so much top-control frustration was a bait tactic straight from Marcelo Garcia.

@fptt don't get me wrong I love watching his pure dominance on the ground. All i was saying earlier is that whatever Nickels did right on the ground is offset by him not even making an effort to keep RD away from him in the beginning. He didn't circle, no jabs, just a quick takedown and it's all over. He had to have an idea he was outclassed on the mat. Either way Robert will be getting an AFC LHW title shot in November.

While I am a fan of his ability to tie people in knots and choke them, I'd like to see him in against someone that is not going to fall to the ground as soon as he touches them. A decent wrestler perhaps?
That being said, he made Nickels look like he'd never even heard of Robert Drysdale.

Nickels never really offered any defense whatsoever, it was pretty much over the second it hit the ground.
