@Lonelycosmos standard radio had 2500ft (almost a mile)
-
was this standard radio gear, really high!!

Great job. Nice landing too!

LOL KEWL video...looks like a cubbie impaled with an arrow ...lol but great view,
-
Holy snikey, how high did that go? Id be worried at 1/4 that altitude in MY cub :P And yea my cowls a hack job too
-
That is a cool camera view. You should put it in the back like a chase cam!
-
It looks weird because the camera is fixed in a position and can't move. Since it's on a rod, or stick or some sort, it looks as if someone is holding the stick and moving the plane around. Have you ever seen those helmet cams? It makes everything look weird like this, because the perspective doesn't shift around, but the subject does.

not to sound rude or anything, but the video looks fake, it looks like someones holding the camera and moves it around, but I KNOW IT"S NOT FAKE! looks wierd

i have trashed mine on the landings and bought whole new plan besides the insides and it only cast me like 50bucks and it can take a beating
this is the best starter plan
so def agree with you
hi,
i just purchased my 1st hobbyzone super cub and can't wait to fly it.
question... after you took off, it looks like you kept flying straight (and up of course) away from you with no turns. is this correct? also, what altitude did you get to? looks like you went WAY up! is the stock radio good for that distance?
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!

Yeah, with the 3s Lipo and the GWS BLM004 2215 12T motor, it has unlimited vertical climb performance. Hard to guess at the altitude but it was nearly a speck. The radio is not stock...but the standard radio does have very good range.

what radio gear do you use and do you need a brushless ESC with that motor
huntish 4 years ago
Hitec Electron 6... but there are cheaper ones that will do a fine job.
Yes.. you'll need a brushless ESC. You'll want a 25Amp or better with a motor like this GWS 12T and a 3s

Cool video! The support for the camera, did you have to move the battery pack toward the rear for proper CG? Also you may want to add 2 more rubber bands for wing hold down. Would not be good if the plane loses the wing and becomes a lawn dart. ;)

The 5 in 1 EDVR is really light... it was a tiny bit nose heavy with this setup but it worked fine.
The rubber bands are fine. ;)
