Continuing my initial thoughts regarding health care. I will continue to approach this issue utilizing critical thinking, asking questions, and eschewing emotion. I'll speak to what's written, what's proposed, and what I think personally makes sense for me, my family, my community, and my nation

  • Great video. I left my comments on the page. Now that, is simply common-sense critical thinking. We need to ask those questions in a reasonable fashion. I'm still looking over the bill, but at this point I don't see the bridge to single-payer as feasible, and it appears that the profit (which isn't all innovation is) motive, and that which makes the American system so innovative will remain in place.

  • So the only people without healthcare are unemployed?

    You're terribly misinformed.

Did you know that some people cannot buy health insurance at any price because they're sick? I pay 100% of all our healthcare costs out of pocket because no private insurance company would cover my wife.

It's simply not good business, selling us coverage would be an automatic loss for any insurance co. They have no interest in essentially giving money away. Sick people are just bad for business.

  • What the hell? So, you're assuming that everyone without healthcare is a lazy person without a job? The RNC has really brainwashed it's followers. The main reason the public option is being presented is because without a regulatory system, the CBO projects that in the year 2019 there will be no way to fix this ailing sector. Premiums will have skyrocketed causing your employer to have to drop coverage of their employees.

  • Not sure of your anger, but I will say we need to be able to enter into critical dialogue on either side of the debate for perspective and understanding. Costs are out of control. The nurse I met Friday evening can't afford health care, and she has a pretty good job which she finds quite rewarding. But given her living costs, she just can't add healthcare insurance. That ... is something to consider.

  • What the hell? So, you're assuming that every new born is from parent(s) that don't have healthcare? Has our "Leader" really brainwashed his people this much? I have healthcare. You probably have healthcare, and if you don't, get a job.

  • For Information on health care reform and answers to some of the most common questions please visit the comment section of my profile. I also have included a link to an easier to read version of the bill and several ways in which you can contact your representatives including phone numbers. Do not fall for all of the scare tactics and lies. Anyone who marks this as spam wants to hide the truth from you.

  • Another question which is rarely brought up is the rising cost of government in this country. The average person spends much more on government than they do on health care. Based on recent spending, that percentage will only increase. I would prefer to spend the money on something that could save my life, rather than political paybacks for some campain contributor.

  • It might remain in place for the very rich. (much like private schools) but the rest of us will likely loose our plans. Comments politicians like Barney Frank indicate that this is the intent. Costs will be shifted to private carriers and their prices must in turn go up.

  • I would pledge to dump both introduced Resolutions.

Health care should be under public managment with private peer review.

( Excluded from engaging into Business with the Health Care system )

Health Care and medical Care should be provided upfront without any guarantees to any Citicen of the United States.

The cost should be finaced by some black budget programs and the state controlled illegal drug-trade.
