  • ok im 80 percent sure those are axles in the front!!

  • nah i can kinda see what you mean but the engine is mid mounted, the axles you see are rear drive shafts coming out of the gearbox.

its good old fashion RWD lol

  • @mkknight83 what chassis is that? Surely it's not a Corvette, but I can't imagine what it is. And is that the corvette transaxle or a custom one? Stunning ride, mate!

  • @Account6879 The chassis is a ultima GTR unfortantly its not mine... the engine is, but this video was taken before it got removed.

Car was stunning I was lucky enough to get ride in it :) the engine makes a simply beautiful noise when you open it up

the transaxle I think comes from a porsche i think i remember the guy saying? (don't quote me though lol)

  • very interesting....would like to see that some time...lm in UK (sometimes) with 90 and 92 ZR1's....hence interst in the LT5

  • sure, mines going to end up in a 3rd gen firebird if all goes well, maybe at some poitn in the future arrange a meet up, the zr1 c4 are amazing cars

  • It's great to finally see a mid mounted LT5 in something. Too bad those headers sound so muted. Still a fantastic set-up. Well done!!

  • Hi there, that's my old engine in my Ultima GTR. Was a great engine, very peaky but used to 'flame' out of the exhausts. Be good to see it fitted in the Trans Am!

The gearbox/transaxle is a Porsche G50 5 speed. My car now has an LS2 fitted and was going to get a Supercharger but I'm selling the whole package now as emigrating to Australia...

  • thats a sweet motor u got there, did you mount a valet key for the valve train or leave it wide open, if so is this in a fiero?

  • o yea lol i didnt notice that, my bad, thanks for the explanation.
