airsoft footage with added VFX

for some strange unknown reason this idea popped into my head whilst i was leaving liquid last night, i even managed to somehow do most of the basic editing in record time while pissed out of my mind :D

the premise is simple, with precious little time to actually record new stock footage while in uni, why dont i just use the mountains of existing airsoft footage for VFX creation instead?

and voila! its a little rough around the edges but i found it cool nevertheless, here we have mr newman back in jan 2010 testing out the hexagon productions PPSH (video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leiRztInAJA), add a few muzzle flashes and gunfire sounds to hide the whiny AEGs and you have quite an increase in intensity.

one thing i dont like is the fact that AEGs have little to no visible recoil which does detract from the believability of the shot, we should get some GBB only games going this christmas when i get back.
