@MrLangstar Actually, it's a Ferrari 4.7 liter V-8 that Maserati uses in their own cars as well. My neighbor's brother owns a new Maserati. When he popped the hood, it was a very familiar Ferrari V-8.

To me, it sounds too American........something like a blend of Mustang and Corvette seasoned with as dash of Ferrari 360. Still, not bad. However, being an Alfa, it will probably lose half it's value in two years or less.

Two types of V8 crankshafts out there, flat plane & cross plane. This is a cross plane, same type as we Americans have used since day one. Italy has used both. Therefore, all will cross plane crankshafts sound similar within reason. Wonderful to hear one configured with aggressive multiple camshafts & valve angle, connected to a acoustically pleasing exhaust note.
