The real-life lead was Jeff Ma, and you can see him my clip with him on YouTube and my interview with both of them on my blog.
Jeff assisted in the book, which also made the main character white. He approved that in the book and movie to protect his privacy. There is a documentary about the real story with Jeff and the others who were really there.

The real life lead was Asian not white. In fact the majority of the team was Asian. That's like making Coach Carter white. This is just another racist stupid Hollywood film.
