@slitheringinterstate what a spot on description of the music and the band. the national are one of my favorite bands and boxer is one of my favorite albums of all time precisely because of what you said. and true to your description, i am a 26 year old, lost, confused kid. these lyrics are the epitome of what it means to be in ones twenties in this modern day and age



College kids,
If you can't relate to these lyrics...just wait...until about 25 or 26, a few years into your career, where your unfulfilled dreams of what your life could have been are being eaten alive by the need to survive in a world that doesn't give a shit about them. And these lyrics will hit you like a ton of bricks.
