  • Oh wow this is amazing!! Can I be cheeky and ask how much the whole trip cost u??

  • I spent two weeks traveling through Kenya, Uganda and finally Rwanda. The entire trip cost about €2500, (The Gorilla permit alone now costs in the region of €500!). I booked this trip through Exodus however many of the other travel companies offer simaliar trips

  • can you stay so close?

  • You can go within three metres of the gorillas, however they may decide to come closer to you!, one of the blackback males touched me on my arm!!!

  • how safe is it to travel in the mountains like that? Arent there pouchers hat would try and hurt people? just curious.

  • It's quite safe, each group of eight people travel with two guides and an armed guard. Poachers keep well away from these areas.

  • What awesome creatures! I would love to see them up close. I fear they will not survive though..numbers are just too low for come back. Heartbreaking that humans have almost destroyed these gorgeous animals.

  • gorillas rule

  • If the Rwandans were rich they'd all be paying thousands of dollars to visit the United States and see bears.

  • @Pulsar205 We don't have souls either.

  • I remember seeing one up close at London Zoo when I was 5 years old. Lovely to see one up close but sad it was imprisoned in a cage. I think they have a better idea now with much larger enclosures and run them less like circuses.

  • @eatcarpet Aren't they! Their looks and mannerisms. But they have no soul like we do.

  • Man That Silverback's arms were HUUUGE!!!

  • Don't worry gorillas are supposed to be gentle.

  • They're so strangely human.

  • The silverback has a cone-head.

  • cos theyre bloody hungry?
