1. Get Resting Heart rate 2. Subtract you age from 220 3. Subtract resting heart rate from #2 above 4. Multiply results of #3 above by .6 (60%) and .8 (80%) 5. Add Resting heart rate to both results of #4. This is your target heart rate range.
i have a question if i wanna lose wight what happen if i exceed the 70% of my maximun heart rate, will i burn fat or do i burn muscle, i hope you answer me, thanks???
you have got to stop repeating yourself. It's killing me.
By the way, the first time you calculate your lower target heartrate you say multiply by "point zero six" (.06) that's 6% not 60%. When you repeat yourself (yuck) you use the right number.
RHR: 52
220 - 18 = 202
202-52 = 150
90 and 120
90 + 52 and 120 + 52 = 142 and 172
:) Thats what I usually aim for. Thanks for confirmation!

It also helps if you take it on a morning your alarm clock isn't waking you up. The startle from the alarm makes your heart speed up.
