My YT friends, Rasmus, Johan, and Lukas, thought it would be fitting to create a new version of the song as a remembrance of the tragedy in New Orleans in 2010, the 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina..
This song, Hurricane, composed by Rasmus Geras is meant as a tribute to all who were affected by Katrina, which struck New Orleans on August 29th 2005.
The idea behind this new version, began with a remake of the drum part by Rasmus - and ended with 2 excellent lead guitars, (Lukas and Johan) and a string-synth, keyboarded by Johan, lead vocal by Ras, with vocal harmonies by Lukas plus vocal by Johan. Finally, the video was skillfully and beautifully edited by Lukas.
These 3 musicians have never met in person and the result is an extraordinary tribute to New Orleans!! Please give a thumbs up or better still "favorite" or share.
A comment is always appreciated!

Lyrics:
Look back see the day that dawned
wisemen said they had been warned
didnt know it would be so soon
some would blame it on the moon
---
rising through the streets and why
children running trucks passing by
rolling water it would break and flow
people didn't know where to go
----
ample warning and a subtle sign
they just faded through the time
only few stated danger flood
no one would listen bad enough
--------------------------------------------
Levee broken and the walls in breach
no one knew just how to reach
strung out for a helping hand
just to get back safe on land
---
some fled some tried to run
others did what they shouldn't have done
Grand packed in the SuperDome
and some were left to survive at home
---
Shots fell as the help came in
by the gunmen trying to win
wanting chaos and insanity
for the price of humanity
Hurricane in the USA
It just came oh and it swept away
more lifetimes of history
yeah beyond you and me
---
Orleans Territory
broke down thus pride and glory
water wind and streets collide
they all just had to abide
---
Sometimes in a heap of loss
we all have to get across
In a world of memory
its all up to you and me
-------------------------------------
Thanks for listening.
sounds like fresh spring water flowing flawlessly zero ripples perfect for my guitar taste and the vocals are very smooth nice vid!
