This is Melissa McClelland singing her song, "Skyway Bridge," on old Route 66 on the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge in St. Louis, Mo., amid the singing birds and drifting cottonwood puffs.
This segment was filmed during her 2006 documentary, "Pedal to Steel: Melissa McClelland's Route 66." The excellent one-hour DVD, directed by Luke Hutton, can be purchased at the Orange Record Label (orangerecordlabel.com). More about Melissa McClelland can be found at melissamccelland.com.
