the AKS-47 is a varient of the AK-47 not the AK74

It look to be a 7.62x51mm not a 7.62x39mm

Bullet diameter: 7.62x39mm =7.92 mm (0.312 in)
7.62x51=7.80 mm (0.307 in)

The 7.62x39 is shorter and just slightly larger in diameter.
The 7.62x51 is longer and has a slim/smaller diameter.

and the x51 has a higher twist rate than the x39.

But i could be wrong to be sure you would have to measure the actual bullet. It's just an educated guess. :-]

...a .50 would be punching a hole through whatever that kind of armour or steel is.
