http://www.mda.state.mn.us Steve Poppe is a scientist at the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center in Morris. As part of his 2009-2011 Sustainable Agricultural Grant from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Steve looked to eliminate fungicide use while growing raspberries. Watch this video clip to hear about his results to date.

  • Hello Steve, so i understand you are eliminating fungicide outdoors but then add insecticide indoors/high tunnel? I'm scratching my head. Also, you get a grant to be more environmentally friendly but then spray insecticide to harm the consumer of the fruit,flower,and or vegetable.How about continuing the experiment to be consumer and environmentally friendly? It's called nematodes/Lady Bugs . Just right back on the chemical spray war path eh? Try beneficial insects and get a real hockey sweater.
