"Disaster Tourism" is probably a song about wisdom or some new revelation calling to a man lost in hedonism. While this new revelation does not make sense, the man still replies. Aaron stated in an interview at Purple Door '05 that this song was based on a trip he took to the Red Light District in Amsterdam. -mewithoutYou's wikipedia page.

norma jean actually directed this video

That was awful. Seriously, bad. I'm going to try and forget this video so that it doesn't ruin my 2nd favorite song on "Catch for us the foxes."

Seriously. I agree completely.
I adore this band.

that video is bloody awesome!

So intense. This is such an interesting band. The band itself usually has to take care of melodic interest due to the vocal style. They've developed such a lush sound.

Hey, that's a great interpretation. So then part two of the morale is that even by works we still fall short of the glory of god? And so the balloon kind of represents Christ's gift of salvation? Anyways kudos.

those are funny looking trees.....
lol
It's about preparing for the worst and seeing sin before you commit it. Noah was told by God to build an ark, even though there was no sign of Rain. Save the society even though there's no sign of damnation, is kind of what it's portraying.
