  • Canada has the same inflation target about 2%.

Sucks that our ex-Golman Sachs central banker wants to take us to negative rates.

  • Haha, poor Peter, I've never heard the guy get frustrated before, that is the exact type of shit that gets me furious though, so I completely understand his anger.

  • Hey Peter, create some more jobs and hire a tech..BTW you are one of my heros, you are too important to be pluggin shit in

  • Thanks for making mention of New Zealand, we live down here quite isolated from the rest of the world. Its good to hear comments from outside looking in. Thankfully we are a strong producuing nation, with good exports. Buy NZ made.

  • wait a second... if consumer spending is a large portion of gdp, and gdp dropped 6.7% while consumer spending increased by 2%, then wouldn't that logically mean that the other areas of gdp dropped by more then 6.7%... like, for instance, production probably dropped over 10%, and exports and imports dropped... so basically, our economy dropped worse then even the 6.7% figure shows, because artificial consumer spending helped hold that number up!

  • Damn coimputers!!!!
