What it does not mean is that God died on the cross. Christ died as a Man being always One with God in Spirit. The Christ died physically as a Man. But many Christions say God died on the cross , impossible. Jesus Diety never died andwas always alive Spirit connected to the Father and Spirit

It's great how he can layout where the New Age/Occult beliefs steam from. I think if people could connect the dots and open their eyes, more would come to Jesus. And he is talking about pride being evil. We should have worth in Jesus. After I found my worth in him, I actually realized how precious I truly am and as a result starting to accept my image. That is true esteem...esteem from the Father, not from one's self. Finding worth in the Father (for I am lacking).

You say we don't have an aspect of divinity in us but i'm not sure about this because we have an essence of God in that we're all made in the image of God and have huge potential, not to be God but to do great things, Jesus says (John 14:12) that we will do greater things than Him, through Him. But yea, agree it's about humility, good work

Pride can be destructive but self esteem is important to have even though at its core it is a type of pride self esteem is what keeps people from hating God and prevents some suicides if one were to have no self esteem living would mean nothing this life is a test we are made in God's image so that we may be able to follow after his son and to truly call ourselves the children of God no self esteem no belief in a greater purpose than the depression you'd feel

I like how Mark is teaching people basic systematic theology to his congregations. So many churches lack this very crucial aspect of spiritual formation
