working on starfish - not perfect but I am so happy to have something to show. I've been randomly trying it the last 3 months. I am CHEATING by using boots.

  • Nice! Sticky boots help, don't they? I am also working on this but my upper foot always slips down.

  • @solucky007 You have to get your top foot higher than you think. I haven't worked on this move in a long time but the boots really do help. I didn't find especially painful with bare fee though. Good luck and you've inspired me toplay with it again. My friend Bertysbooboo does this move awesome!

  • Thank you! I just love calling myself a dirty cheater!  but when Q did it someone posted that she needed to do it like a pro without the aid of a shoe - so I figured I'd eliminate someone making me feel bad about it.

  • Thanks for the advice. First I need some boots because barefoot I fall off immediately. I tried again today, I put my top foot in every possible angle, I had a laugh. Maybe I should accept it is not for me. How long did you try before you got a grip on this? Yes I have seen her starfish as well, conclusion is the same, everyone`s top foot sticks except mine.

  • Wow! Wearing boots for this one is NOT cheating! Putting crazy glue on the boots, still not cheating- cuz you'd still have to hold yourself in the position. That has got to be crazy crazy hard!

  • I generally hate toe clips on a bike ( safety reasons in gang territory, can't flee the bike) BUT, when used while riding laps, you can power stroke ONLY UPWARDS, pulling the foot top up, never using the downstroke to power the bike. Also, at Bally's on the Hamstring exerciser where you usually lie on your stomach--I SIT on the pad, hook my foot top UNDER the roller that usually goes on the calf--and lift my toes against a very low weight. Oh yeah! That one hurts, too, LOL!

  • Not cheating at all, Charley...merely breaking down the move into its composite elements in order to study, conquer, and master the move. Which just proves the point I am always making when I argue with other people about pole...that it's a Brainiac, Fitness nerd type of thing...in addition to being super sexy, of course! Oh...here's two tricks for that muscle..uh, I forgot its name...that pulls up the ankle top--it's a B**** to work on, cuz there's no equipment: continued...
