Our first weekend trip from the American University of Rome. We jumped on a train from the big city of Rome to a small Liguria area called Cinque Terre. That trip changed my life!

  • It is one of the best places in Italy! For most of us, it was not only our first time abroad, but also our first time away from home. Everything was so new and very exciting to us. We all learned a lot from studying abroad and look back at this video and laugh. Now I consider myself a very seasoned traveler and have a better prospective on culture and learned how to embrace it. Next time i visit, ill make another video about Le Cinque Terre that will make Americans and Europeans proud.

  • Bomb shot, money shot, voyeur shot???? Stupid Americans........shame you can't go and get 'shot'...how many times did you say 'I don't know where we are?'.....stupid....

  • Hi Tim, This was made back in 2002 while I was studying abroad in college. It was a joke for us to say "we don't know where we are" because we have been to 100 towns in Italy and it was getting overwhelming. The different shots were incorporated into the video because I was studying film at the time and it was comical at the time to incorporate some of that into my home videos. Your comment was poor, but it's ok, the video wasn't made for you. ........stupid.....

  • This was a good video. Anybody complaining about your pronunciation or your behavior has got some other kind of problem. You guys looked like you really enjoyed and appreciated the place, and I'm sure that's what the inhabitants there would want.

  • I loved travelling with you in Italy! And I loved all your shots. Having fun is not stupid - don't ever stop! Now that would be stupid.

  • Yes - I didn't find this very entertaining at all. I'm American and it was an embarrassment .... please, don't think all Americans are like this. I've been to Italy 3 times - some of my best friends are from there, and there they were almost making fun of where they were. It's La Spezia, not La Spiezza, "Euro glasses", they don't have cars, I'm sure they all look like that. How ignorant!!! They should have left if they were going to keep making fun - it's one of the best places in Italy!

  • Very nice video!I've been there 2 years ago, it was a wonderful trip.

  • It's possible to leave America without really leaving it. The point of going to a place like this is that, if you were to stay, a little part of you would become Italian. I remember some of my fellow students, last day in Italy, listening to 'Hotel California' and playing cards with each other. 'You can check out, but you can never leave.'

Try to understand the place. It's worth it.

  • ciao I' m italian can i know why this trip changed your life? I m curious...

    ciao from Rome..

  • 8:30 is the best part...

  • Rather than watch the young and the dumb in La Spezia, I'll watch the Rick Steve's version. Far superior!
