I agreed with Nicki too, but for slightly different reasons. Genres are about marketing, not art. The best music seems to come from blending of genres.

Besides, soul and country are very similar genres--they come from the same place (the South), use similar melodies and chord progressions, and both are heavily influenced by gospel. Just consider the number of country song that have become soul hits. And vice versa.

Let the girl define her own music.
