She's a JOURNALIST!! Anorexic people DON'T THINK NORMALLY. She didn't know that would upset her because she thinks NORMALLY. The reason she got upset is because she thinks ABNORMALLY. The journalist is a journalist, not a doctor. She didn't know to what extent of sickness (mental) she was dealing with and in my opinion, the girl acted like a child. She's a brat. I would have sucked it up and cried about it later, not throw a temper tantrum in front of everyone!!

@nateblugr its not that she doesn't want to eat its that there is a voice inside an anorexics head that controls everything you do. She may actually want a piece of cake but anorexia stops you. I have anorexia too and it's absolute hell

I think anorexia is the best evidence that if you repeat something to yourself long enough, your brain starts believing it and nothing can convince you otherwise. So imagine if instead of "I'm fat" she had repeated "I'm happy".

This poor woman and her family....I have suffered with anorexia for 18 years now, so I completely understand. Only now am i trying to see how my family must feel. I pray this woman and her family heal.

Why wasn't she put in permanent treatment to begin with when it increased so badly? I don't want to sound mean but her attitude would have had her sent off to a treatment center quicker if it were my parents. She can't control them there.

@SuperAnahi1 Neurobiological means there's something biological going on in the brains or neurology of Anorexia sufferers. Some of the latest research has shown that people with or at risk of Anorexia Nervosa actually have brains that are wired differently at a biological level. So rather than in just being psychological, there is the very real possibility of it being an actual brain disease as well.
