  • Yes, BUT- not autofocus. Which makes focusing more than a little tricky.

  • Professional Video doesn't use Autofocus either though!

  • Very true!

  • So far so good, the LCD is VERY useful. I'm about to post some driving stuff I did today, both with the stock lens and with a Zeiss prime... stay tuned!

  • does the d5000 have a microphone input?

  • How do you do that?

I just bought the d5000, and doesn't understand anything about cameras at all, so I just want to ask you, how you do that?

  • @xx74g5 With the d5000 you will have to set all AF and AFS lenses into manual focus. For AFS lenses its found on the side of the lense clearly labeled. For AF lenses I think its set on either lense or camera. then you use the other ring at the front to adjust focus.

  • @Anijac1412 USe quicktime to view them. Also make sure you always check the white balance to make sure all colors are correct. I make better videos using aperture priority. Dont go over iso 400 in the day. Manual focus is a great way to record to give that certain movie like quality where not everything is in focus like a camcorder. Make sure you are recording at 720P and not anything lower since lower quality will still look good on the lcd screen. But not a a CPU.

  • I can't seem to get that level of quality onmy D5000. I think it had something to do with the transfer to my computer because the video always looks great on the camera itself (and not just because the screen is smaller. It genuinely just looks crisper and sharper). Any tips?

  • @xx74g5 by twisting the end of the lens

  • Hello, just a quick question. How where you able to adjust the ISO for video? I tried changing it and nothing would happen. it only worked for still images.

  • how do u change the focus
