Dear Mr. Lyon,
I am the grandson of Percy Hall, Captain of the Cal Bear football team that beat Stanfofd 22-0 for the first of two, consecutive wins to earn Cal the Tilden Trophy (it is now by the Valley Life Sciences Bldg, and is now or will soon undergo some much needed renovation). Garret was his coach....Percy always admired Garrett for his determination and drive...he had the lads run up the hills by Cal with sand bags draped over their shoulders...piledrivers for legs, they had.
