  • how do you take the screen off?

  • Brilliant! I´ve just changed to 120GB SSD och my G4 (used to have Hitachi 60GB). This I did running your clip on my Thinkpad T43 ;-) The G4 now starts from zero to full operating mode in half the time (approx 1min instead of approx 2min).

  • this is why i buy PC, most PC's are much much easier to take apart then this... But people buy Mac's and then i fix them :(... Good job on the video :)...

  • thanks man, after checking out all other videos, urs is the best :D

  • cool thankz man now i can repair my powerbook

  • @crazzydude14 thanks :) not got round to repairing it yet

  • @leenevin2 i know this would be late reply; but no it won't. all powerbooks that are not more than 400~ mhz apart and are of the same size are built the same way. so you're good.

  • @pjmuck Yeah that was a bit tough, it went it MUCH easier than it came out! In fact both of them did, one is 2 wire the other 3-wire.

  • hands down best walk thru!

Can you believe the other 40 second sped up videos of this? useless!

I used this PLUS since I had mine half opened up for 2+ years, ifixit.com helped with figuring out which screw goes where.

I went with a 160GB hard drive replacement on this, I'll post an article on my blog AskNorb.com since it took me a while to make sure the hard drive would be compatible.

  • Hi I have question ,my g4 it turn on but no the screen what it cuold be the problem ,can yuo help me pls.
