Roma are one of the biggest ethnic minorities in the EU with millions of people living in most Member States. Their situation is characterized by persisting discrimination and far-reaching social exclusion.
Ivan Vesely is founder and chairman of the Dzeno Association, an organisation based in the Czech Republic which strives to influence international actions concerning the Roma people and increase global awareness of Romany issues. In this Interview Mr Vesely talks of the continuing plight of the Roma people, the failure of government's integration efforts and the work of the Dzeno Assocation.

Gypsies in Czech republic stealing, their children rob Czech people. Gypsies dont have a job, only take Social benefits.... they stealing cars, mobiles..... We do not want them in Czech Republic.
