Now this is the story all about how
Quantum theory flipped science upside down
I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
To tell you why energy is quantized and why you should care

E-lect-ron with their particle and wave ways,
Prefer stable orbital, where they want to spend most of their days
Still they move around, absorb energy, acting all cool
Until they fall back and release photons in energy units called Joules.
Through this discovery, classical physics got booted to falsehood
Quantum mechanics replaced it and got approved real good.

We can observe electrons emissions very clear
Through tools like spectroscopes that have open this new science frontier
Electrons emit wavelengths outside the visible light has been declared.
When the advancements of Lyman and Paschen became shared.

While we still have much to learn about energy and matter
This branch of science has shed some understanding on why electrons scatter
Make sure you realize quantum mechanics is nowhere near
completely understood even after research for over 100 years.
