The Persian Empire was one of the most mysterious civilizations in the

ancient world. Persia became an empire under the Cyrus the Great, who

created a policy of religious and cultural tolerance that became the

hallmark of Persian rule. Engineering feats include an innovative

system of water management; a cross-continent paved roadway stretching

1500 miles; a canal linking the Nile to the Red Sea; and the creation

of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Mausoleum of Maussollos.

The rivalry between Persia and Athens led to a 30-year war known as the

Persian Wars, the outcome of which helped create the world we live in

@giriisindahouse on the contrarY ,unlike most Indo-europeans we have kept most of our traditions, religion is just a small part of our culture ,u can see how our ancestors cellebrated the Persian New year in Persepolis & 2daY after 2600 years we still do it .

Persians never accepted islam as it was ,we changed & shaped it by our own traditions, thats why most arabs dont consider us as real muslims .( they R right )

even our weddings r based on Zoroastrian traditions.

Persia was way more advenced, powerful and militant then Greece. They had a desire for conquest.

Hadn't Persia fallen to the Arabs and convert to Islam in 651, it's quite safe to assume it would have the major power in Asia nowdays and one of the major powers of the world.

@sperch3d Seriously, even Greece donated nothing to our world since what, they were occupied by the Romans, despite they were the cradle of western civilization. Got it? It is the shift of the world power!

So why are you blaming Islam for the fall of their civilization? The fact is that Islam has nothing to do with the development of some civilization (you said it yourself). It depends on the people, not based on the religion.

The facts speak for themselves.

Most Muslim countries today are poor, primitive, unedjucated and underdeveloped.

Islam donated nothing to the world for over half a millenia (unless u count jihad and suicide bombers).

Speaking of Algebra, You think Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī's brilliance came from the fact he was Muslim? I think it has more to do with the fact he was Persian (NOT Arab).
