  • @beninski707 Hey thanx for the answer! It was a ceramic? Do you still have this unit? It sounds excellent for a ceramic. Please check out the video I posted as a video response to this one. Let me know what you think. Gotta watch it to the end, it's funny...

  • @TwinMillMC Hey there. Sorry I missed answering your question. If you're still interested, it was a ceramic cartridge mounted in the tonearm. I did come across later the exact same model dual TT mounted in a Sony ALL-in-one stereo system. It had a magnetic Sony cartridge. So I guess this particular dual was O.K. for both ceramic and magnetic cartridge use. Sorry again, and don't talk to yourself, people may be watching.

  • @TwinMillMC Thanks for answering my question, I like talking to myself.

  • That sounds very nice. Is that Dual the original turntable for the unit? Is fitted with a ceramic or magnetic phono cartridge? Looks like it may be a Pickering or Stanton?

  • I'd never expect to find a Dual turntable in a Watergate-era console like that one. Even with a plastic arm and a ceramic cartridge, it's a few rungs above the BSR changers they put into most such cabinets.

  • Hey, no problemo, liked the tune too. Thanks.
