"Somewhere between Alabama and Utah," a runaway prisoner (Nicky Tesco) escapes into the night, takes off his inmate uniform and changes into a trench coat and a hat that he has found next to the garbage can. He is chased by two armed men who could either be policemen or criminals. The runaway is looking for his ex-girlfriend (Marja-Leena Helin) when the two men reach their target and wound the runaway by shooting him in the back. The runaway manages to escape through the back door of a restaurant and into the back alley where his love and a Cadillac are waiting. The couple drive into the nocturnal eternity, and grinning mischievously, the runaway takes a sip of his Coke.
