@bobo577 Exactly.

@0000infinity0000 The creature is called a Dianoga. It sneaks aboard spaceships and It feeds on waste products. I think all the garbage compactors are linked so it disappears into a passage way before being crushed.

@OneMinuteGalactica or at least making something that made more sense than a random creacher in a pool of piss and shit

@0000infinity0000 nah, theres all the noises of bits of tunnells opening when listening to it. thats where luke gets pulled in to and wud explain y it doesnt get squashed. as for why its there... who knows, cud be there to digest smaller creature managing to live in there. hahah Why am I trying to defend it. People always do that about things they love.

@Mrincproductions If I could spend a whole minute giving you enough thumbs up to rival that person, I would. One will do :)

They put it there on purpose to eat the organic waste.

@0000infinity0000 I'm sorry but you tend to think too much into a movie. Get out of your house once and a while and live!
-
i reckon they make Subways out of Dianogas

@0000infinity0000 of course it unrealistic :D, the whole movie is unrealistic. But i do get ur point

Soon as I read the description, I thought LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!
how did that thing even get on the death star? i mean, its a space station, when it was being built, they didn't put it there intentionally,since the trash compacter would crush it.
also, whats it swimming in? the others were all standing up,and when han got pulled under, he slid back, not going down, so the thing cant live in more than a few inches of water....the whole thing is a bit too unrealistic...even for star wars...and i likes me some star wars

You know, as much as I love Star Wars, I really can't even watch this whole trash compactor sequence anymore. It just seems too slow and the whole thing doesn't really have much to do with the plot. I wish that 5 or 6 minutes had been spent doing something more exciting.
