Railfanning 2012 - 1st Outing of the Year

A very chilly January 2nd takes me to Marshall Canyon to find and film my 1st train of the new year. I think it was worth it.

At first, it looked like her was flying. That was a lot of trailers. Just goes to show that it isn't all containers these days. Thanks for sharing :)

@ZPHOENIX27 Track speed here is 55 mph and the train was probably moving between 50-55 mph.

The war bonnets still had Santa Fe on the side! Great catch!

@cthsemilw The 600 series that haven't been repainted into BNSF colors all have "Santa Fe" on the nose and sides. That is their original paint and many of them still have not been patched with BNSF on the cab. There seems to be a lot of them working this corridor (BNSF funnel).
